Last updated July 29, 2026The short version
Tee Time Locator is operated by Rock Steady Systems. You can search tee times without an account. If you sign in or organize a round, we hold the email address you gave us and the details of the rounds you set up. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.
What we collect
Nothing but a location, if you are just searching. To find courses near you we use either your browser's location (only if you allow it) or a ZIP code you type. That choice is stored on your own device, in the browser, so you do not have to re-enter it. We send the ZIP or coordinates to our server to turn them into a place.
Your email address, if you sign in. Organizer sign-in is passwordless: we email a one-time code or link. The code itself is stored only as a hash, expires, and can be used once. That short-lived sign-in record also holds the IP address the request came from, so we can rate-limit abuse of the sign-in form.
Round details you create. Polls you send out, the availability answers people give back, saved courses, your home ZIP or city, and openings you asked to be alerted about (including the address you asked us to email).
Players you save. If you add a regular playing partner, we store the name you typed and, if you supply them, their email or phone so invitations and reminders can be sent. Please only add people who expect to hear from you.
Which booking links get clicked. When you tap through to a course's booking page we record the course, date and time, so we can tell a course how much interest we sent them. That record does not contain your email or your IP address — it carries a one-way, salted, daily-rotating fingerprint instead.
Why we collect it
To show tee times near you, to run the round you are organizing, to email the people you asked us to email, to keep sign-in and our scanning from being abused, and to show a course operator how many golfers we sent them. Nothing here is used for advertising profiles.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to run the product. They process data on our behalf, not for their own purposes:
- Vercel — hosting and basic, aggregate traffic analytics.
- Supabase — the database where the records above live.
- Resend — sending sign-in codes, invitations, reminders and alerts.
- Feedback Hub — the in-app feedback widget. If you are signed in, it receives your email address so a reply can reach you.
- Weather services — public forecast data by location. No information about you is sent to them.
Courses and their tee-sheet providers. We read publicly published availability from course booking systems. When you book, you leave Tee Time Locator and finish on the course's own booking site — what happens there is covered by that course's and that provider's own policies, not ours. We never see your card.
How long we keep it
Sign-in codes expire within minutes and are single-use. Everything else we keep while it is still doing its job — your saved players and courses stay until you remove them, and round records stay so you can look back at them. Ask us to delete your data and we will.
Your choices
- Searching works without an account. You never have to sign in to find a tee time.
- Location is opt-in. Decline it and type a ZIP instead, or clear it from the app at any time.
- Remove a saved player or course yourself, whenever you like.
- Ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted — email us from the address you signed in with.
Children
Tee Time Locator is meant for adults booking golf. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes that affect how we use your information will be called out in the app.
